In light of the Ravenite FON Wolfe Pack founding, here's a simple surfing search
exploring the "wolfe" in cyberspace. Thus begins a short scan of a mere 31
"wolfe" sites in the top 50 of WebCrawler's 1453 "wolfe" references.
There's lots of people of course: Thomas Wolfe (popular author of the early 20th century), not to
be confused with Tom Wolfe (popular author
of the late 20th century); ever-popular fictional character, Nero
Wolfe; and of course, the infamous Wolfman
Jack(OK, I confess, he didn't come into the
"wolfe" search, but I just couldn't leave him out of this); along with the personal sites of Matt Wolfe Chazin, Wolfe's Cyberden '96,
Wolfe's Furry Paraphernalia, and Rob Wolfe with his cub, Evan.
Need an attorney? We've got Nelson & Wolfe (Fairfax, VA); Rudnick & Wolfe (Chicago,
Washington DC, and Tampa); and Wolfe
& Wyman LLP (Long Beach and Santa Monica, CA).
You can buy some property from Wolfe & Shearer, Realtors (Carlisle, PA), and a
motorized vehicle from Jay Wolfe Chevrolet
Oldsmobile (Kansas City, KS), or Jay Wolfe Dodge (Lee's Summit, MO). Other businesses
include The Wolfe Pack (a unique
line of scrapbook papers); Wolfe Machine Inc.
(Small Aerospace Machined Parts), and Personalized
gifts by Grey Wolfe.

Yet, in light of the Highlander canon so profoundly at the very depth
of the RFWP, there is Wolfe's Company, a group of medieval re-enactors who like to portray an English
free company under the command of Sir Thomas Wolfe in France
during the late 14th Century.
So come one and all, my fellow R-FON Wolfers, and see who else is
"out there"...

Wolfe's Company was established
in 1987 by a group of medieval re-enactors with a desire to increase public knowledge of
the Hundred Years War era (1337-1453). As "Wolfe's Company", we portray an
English free company under the command of Sir Thomas Wolfe in France during the late 14th
Century. We participate in several annual living history events including the
Military Through the Ages Festival at Jamestown Fort in Virginia and the Medieval Fair at
Fort Tryon Park in New York City.
At these events our members display 14th Century culture, both domestic and military,
within a functioning camp. Several of our members also perform combat demonstrations using
steel weapons in order to give the public a taste of actual combat during
the Hundred Years War. In addition to the annual events, Wolfe's company hosts several
personal events and is featured in
educational seminars at local schools. Our members are of all ages and professions, but
each shares a passion for 14th Century
history and culture.
Nero Wolfe
http://www.things.org/~muffy/pages/books/rex_stout/nero_wolfe.html
Nero Wolfe is the detective in a long-running series of
mystery novels by Rex Stout. He engages in detection to support his two loves, food
and orchids. He says of orchids that they are "his concubines: insipid, expensive,
parasitic and temperamental." There is a real-world Nero Wolfe fan club called
The Wolfe Pack.

This page is dedicated to the classic detective mystery series by Rex Stout which
chronicles the cases of the world's largest
detective, Nero Wolfe, and the exploits of his "eyes, ears, and legs" Archie
Goodwin. This page will point you to information
about Nero Wolfe publications and ephemera available from us, other Nero Wolfe and Rex
Stout sites, and books and
ephemera available from other sites.

The Old Brownstone on West Thirty-Fifth Street:
The Nero Wolfe mysteries written by Rex Stout (1886-1975) are, in my opinion, much better
than the Sherlock Holmes
mysteries...the interaction between the main characters much more entertaining than in
Doyle's stories, and Wolfe never
pretends to be able to tell one cigar's ashes from another.

The Nero Wolfe Site Index: The Wolfe portion of (this) site grew out of a long time
interest in the evolution of paperback cover art and the impact the advertising industry
as a whole has had both on the art and on the book buying public.

Thomas Wolfe
http://www.charm.net/~brooklyn/People/ThomasWolfe.html
Born: Oct 3, 1900; Place of Birth: Asheville, North Carolina; Died: Sept 15, 1938
Thomas Wolfe was an enormously popular novelist during the middle of this century.
Wolfe attended the University of North Carolina and then Harvard, where he studied
playwriting. His first plays, like his novels, were about the life and people he knew in
North Carolina. In 1929 he wrote the famous novel 'Look Homeward, Angel,' in which Eugene
Gant of Altamont stands in for Thomas Wolfe of Asheville. Wolfe continued Eugene Gant's
story in 'Of Time And The River' (1935), and invented a new alter ego, George Webber, for
a later novel, 'You Can't Go Home Again,' which was published posthumously after Wolfe
contracted tuberculosis and died suddenly during surgery. (Literary Kicks by Levi Asher)

Thomas Wolfe Memorial is operated by the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources,
Division of Archives and History, Historic Sites Section. His mother's boardinghouse
in Asheville, North Carolina, now the Thomas Wolfe Memorial, has become one of
literature's most famous landmarks.

Wolfe's Cyberden '96: The Disclaimer: There is
absolutely nothing "pornographic" in of any of my pages; however, if you are
offended by frank discussions of sexual interests do NOT access the "Sexual"
topic page located on the "all about Wolf" subpage. Also, since my original
CyberDen Homepage generated a lot of questions regarding this topic, let me state the
following, and for the official record: YES I am Gay! Also, I like (and I am proud of) who
I am and that includes being a former police officer, currently working for the federal
government, and the fact that I just happen to be Gay. Accordingly, my pages (and many of
the links found on them) contain Gay affirming and/or supportive statements, images, and
themes. If you have a
problem with that, then these pages are NOT going to be to your liking.

Tom Wolfe

(Not to be confused with Thomas Wolfe) While readers await his next big novel
-- the first since 1987's Bonfire of the Vanities -- Wolfe, 66, has performed
the equivalent of a literary warmup: He has released a novella about the news business, Ambush
at Fort Bragg, exclusively on audio.
